Gilda dalla Rizza
Gilda Dalla Rizza (* Verona, 1892 – † Milán, 1975) fue una de las mas importantes sopranos italianas de su época, nacida en Verona debutó en Bologna en Werther de Massenet se destacó por sus condiciones de actriz-cantante y bella estampa.
Especialista en el repertorio del verismo fue favorita de Giacomo Puccini en los personajes de Suor Angelica, Lauretta de Gianni Schicchi y Magda en La rondine en su estreno mundial de 1917. Participó en los estrenos mundiales de Il piccolo Marat de Mascagni y Giulietta e Romeo de Riccardo Zandonai de quien también cantó Francesca da Rimini.
Fue favorita en Covent Garden, La Scala – donde cantó una recordada La Traviata dirigida por Arturo Toscanini -, Monte Carlo y en el Teatro Colón y Teatro Coliseo de Buenos Aires donde cantó Manon Lescaut con Aureliano Pertile, Francesca da Rimini y Minnie de La fanciulla del West.Se retiró en 1939 dedicándose a la enseñanza en Venecia.
Murió en la Casa Verdi en 1975.

Written for private performance in Rome in 1693, Alessandro Scarlatti’s La Giuditta deals with the biblical figure of Judith, who liberated the besieged city of Bethulia by seducing and beheading the enemy, General Holofernes. Scarlatti considered it his finest oratorio, and its dramatic structure, rapidly interweaving brief scenes in Holofernes’s camp with events in the troubled city, is remarkable.

Birth: Dec. 30, 1943Death: Mar. 18, 2002. Opera Tenor. A construction engineer by trade, he visited his first opera in 1967, and two years later, he changed his career to become an opera singer. His tutors at the music college soon realised that he was an extraordinary talent. That talent led him to his debut in 1973 as Rudolfo in La Bohéme at Stora Teatern in Gothenburg, Sweden. Subsequently he became a member of the Royal Opera in Stockholm, from 1973 until 1981, when he moved to Zurich. He was to become a frequent guest at the Zurich opera throughout his living. Gösta Winberghs US debut took place at the San Francisco opera in Mozart´s Don Giovanni, in the same role, Don Ottavio, as he later was to play at his Metropolitan debut1983.
During his splendid career Gösta Winbergh performed at La Scala in Milano, Covent Garden, London, at the Tanglewood Festivals, Chicago, Vienna, Paris, Houston, Barcelona, Rome and many other scenes. Conductors as Herbert von Karajan, Seiji Ozawa, James Levine, Ricardo Muti and Lorin Maazel were often his co-operators, and he was at several occations nominated for US Grammys.
”Gösta Winbergh Award” has been instituted in Sweden, to his honour. On March 17, 2002, Gösta Winbergh performed in his last role: Florestan in Beethoven´s ”Fidelio” at the Wiener Staatsoper, Vienna. He went home to his apartment and early the next morning he suffered a fatal heart attack.
