Giorgio Aristo
Giorgio Aristo Mikroutiskos was born in New York of Greek-Italian heritage. He completed his bachelor of science in music education degree at the State University of New York-Potsdam and won a full scholarship to the prestigious Manhattan School of Music in New York City after completing a tour of duty during the Vietnam War. He obtained a master of voice and opera degree under Professor Gabor Corelli of the Metropolitan Opera.
Aristo is one of the most famous and celebrated tenors in the world. He has performed, to date, in 16 countries including performances at New York’s Carnegie Hall and in Lincoln Center. Roles he is known for are Andrea Chenier, Turiddu, Cavaradossi, Rodolfo, Don Carlos, Dick Johnson, Alvaro, Alfredo, Radames, Manrico, Verdi Requiem as well as Werther, Don Jose, Lenski and Hans (The Bartered Bride).
For the 200-year anniversary of the French Revolution in Versailles, Giorgio Aristo sang Andrea Chenier alternating with Placido Domingo. He has had many television appearances around the world and in 1987, was honored with the prestigious title of Kammersänger by the Staatsoper Hanover.
Mr. Aristo recently finished a tour of 15 concerts in the United States, with Melody Kielisch (soprano) and Maestro Anoushirvan Rohani, in many of the major cities from California to New York.
