    Comentarios
    Barbara Haveman, born in Groningen, The Netherlands, passed her degree at the Maastricht School of Music in 1994. She took classes by Carlo Bergonzi, Renata Scotto and works actually with Catherine Green in New York.

    She is winner of the following international singing competitions: 1997 - Belvedere Competition in Vienna (third prize) and Concours International de Chant de Verviers (first prize), 1998 - Voci Verdiane in Busseto (first prize).

    In 1995 she gave her stage debut in the part of Salud in De Falla's La Vida Breve at the Oldenburgische Staatstheater.

    After her first appearance 2003 as Salomé/Hérodiade at the Wiener Staatsoper, Ms. Haveman has been engaged in 2005 for the title-role in the new production “Manon Lescaut” (conductor Seiji Ozawa, director Robert Carsen), with revival in 2009 and sung there 2010 and 2012 “Un ballo in maschera” and 2011 “Tosca”.

    Barbara Haveman appeared in many concerts in Japan, Belgium, France, Italy and the Netherlands. Among others she has sung Jeremia by Bernstein, Shostakovitch 14th Symphony, Schönbergs Sechs Orchesterlieder and Beethovens 9th Symphony, in Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem and Mozart’s Requiem, Vesprae solemnis de confessore and Die Krönungsmesse, being also a noted interpreter of the German Lied repertoire.

    Some of her future engagements are: “La fanciulla del West” at the Oper Frankfurt and at the Theater Essen,, “Aida” at the Grand Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, “Il Trittico” at the Oper Köln, “Don Carlo” at the Hamburg State Opera, “Falstaff” NP at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, “Rusalka” at the Monte Carlo Opera, “Simon Boccanegra” at the Vienna State Opera, Oper Frankfurt and Opéra de Nice, “Tannhäuser” at the Opéra du Rhin Strasbourg, “La Bohème” at the Teatro del Bicentenario León, etc.
